Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments, materials, and supplies for endodontic procedures
- Assist the dentist during complex root canal treatments, including handling dental instruments and suctioning
- Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical histories, and ensuring comfort throughout their visit
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice management software
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and answer their questions with clarity and confidence
- Sterilize instruments according to infection control protocols and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient files
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with at least one year in a busy dental practice, preferably with endodontic exposure
- Familiarity with dental software platforms for record keeping and scheduling
- Robust understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care and patient communication
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
