We are currently looking to fill a Full Time front desk position at Holiday Inn & Suites Kamloops.

Ideal candidates will have:

-1-2 years previous experience as a hotel reception agent or relevant hospitality work

-Positive and professional attitude
-Strong customer service skills
-Skilled phone etiquette
-Basic computer knowledge
-Ability to multi-task and work in an often busy environment
-Excellent verbal & written English communication skills

Tasks and duties will include:

- Maintains an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments.
- Knows room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates.
- Registers arriving guests and assigns rooms.
- Ensuring that each guest receives a warm and welcoming reception at check-in/check-out
- Providing information about services available in the hotel and surrounding areas
- Processing charges and payments to the appropriate accounts.
- Promoting and selling guest rooms
- Answering telephones, taking messages, directing calls and processing reservations




- Addressing customer inquiries
- Coordinates guest room maintenance work with the engineering and maintenance division.
- Uses persuasive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel.
- Knows daily activities and meetings taking place in the hotel.
- Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager or assistant manager.
- Manages and resolves all guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Willing to do relief night audit to cover sick days and/or holidays if needed
