Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Worker to support and engage young individuals in a positive and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and young people, will play a vital role in fostering their development, confidence, and social skills. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth through supportive activities, mentorship, and educational assistance.
this position hours are split 7:30am until 9:30am Monday friday and again 2:30-5:30 pm each day
Responsibilities
- walk children to and from school Monday to Friday
- Provide guidance, support to children
- Supervise youth during various activities, ensuring safety and positive behavior
- Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation, learning, and social interaction
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a community settings
- criminal record check and child abuse registry check
- Strong teaching skills and the ability to adapt activities for diverse needs
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to working with young people
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for supporting youth development
Job Type: Part time
