Bookkeeper – Hospitality Industry
Location: Toronto, ON (Richmond St. Office)
Salary: $45,000 – $75,000 per year
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

Position Overview
We are seeking a Bookkeeper to manage a portfolio of restaurant clients and support full-cycle accounting processes.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple clients, and developing strong financial insights that help restaurant operators run successful businesses.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, supporting daily accounting functions, and collaborating with both internal leadership and restaurant operators.
This role provides a unique opportunity to gain insight into the financial operations of some of the top restaurants in Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for a portfolio of restaurant clients
- Ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule
- Oversee daily accounting functions including:
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Sales reporting
- Payroll
- Expense tracking
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting reports
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Process bi-weekly payroll, including vacation pay, ROEs, T4s, and payroll adjustments
- Calculate and file government remittances including GST/HST, payroll deductions, EHT, and WSIB
- Assist with period-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare year-end working papers and trial balances for external accountants
- Communicate with clients regarding financial questions, discrepancies, and reporting
- Act as the primary contact for vendor inquiries and assist with cheque runs
- Support improvements to internal accounting processes and systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Experience managing multiple clients or entities is an asset
- Restaurant, hospitality, or retail accounting experience is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Canadian accounting practices and compliance requirements
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Desktop
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent organization and time management
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
