Landscape Lighting Installer / Field Sales Rep — BrightLine Lighting

Location:Edmonton, AB (field-based, travel across the city)

Job Type: Part time — 25 hrs/week minimum, up to 8 hrs on some days (flexible scheduling)

Pay:

$20.00/hour to start (if existing experience may be bumped to $22 sooner)
→ $22.00/hour after 2 weeks
→ potential to $25.00-$30/hour based on skill assessment and performance

About the Role

BrightLine Lighting installs landscape lighting, permanent holiday lighting (Gemstone), and services irrigation systems for homeowners across Edmonton. We're looking for one energetic, reliable person to join a small, hands-on team — primarily as an installer, with some door-to-door outreach mixed in when jobs allow.

This isn't a desk job. You'll be outside, on ladders, running wire, and occasionally knocking on doors to help generate new business. If you like working with your hands, learning a trade, and want a shot at growing your pay quickly based on real performance — this is for you.

What You'll Do

- Primary: Assist with landscape lighting and permanent holiday lighting installs — running low-voltage wire, mounting fixtures, basic troubleshooting, staging materials on-site
- Support irrigation service calls as needed
- Occasional door-to-door canvassing to generate leads and book estimates in target neighborhoods




- Keep the vehicle organized and materials accounted for
- Follow safety practices on ladders, roofs, and around electrical components

What We're Looking For:

- Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle (required)
- Roof rack preferred, not required
- Energetic, physically capable, comfortable being active outdoors for full shifts — athletic background is a plus
- Comfortable talking to homeowners and representing the company well (for the door-to-door component)
- Coachable — willing to learn proper install technique, not looking to "already know it all"
- Punctual and dependable — this is a small team, and we count on each other
- No experience required; training provided

Growth Path:

We invest in people who show up and put in the work. Pay increases are tied to demonstrated skill and reliability, not just time served:

- Start: $20/hr
- 2 weeks in: $22/hr
- Ongoing: opportunity to reach $25- 30/hr as your install speed, quality, and sales comfort grow

Schedule

Minimum 25 hours/week, with some days running up to 8 hours depending on job load. Flexible — good fit for students, second-job seekers, or anyone wanting part-time hours with real upside.
