Responsibilities

- Assist in planning and executing engaging training sessions for basketball and volleyball teams, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and game tactics
- Support head coaches in preparing for competitions, including strategy discussions and game-day logistics
- Foster a safe, inclusive environment that encourages participation and enjoyment for athletes of all ages and abilities
- Provide guidance on proper techniques, rules, and sportsmanship to promote fair play and respect among players
- Help monitor athlete progress through observation, feedback, and record-keeping to support continuous improvement
- Assist with organizing equipment,



maintaining facilities, and ensuring safety protocols are followed during practices and games
- Promote positive team culture by encouraging leadership, discipline, and enthusiasm among athletes

Requirements

- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in teaching sports such as basketball and volleyball
- Knowledge of basic coaching principles, game rules, and safety procedures for both sports
- Ability to communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and fellow staff members in a lively and motivating manner
- Willingness to learn recent skills related to coaching techniques and sports education
- Prior experience or interest in swimming is a plus but not mandatory
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or during tournaments as needed
- A positive attitude with a passion for mentoring youth through sports activities
