Child Development Assistant

As a Child Development Assistant (CDA), you’ll play a vital role in supporting children and their families in home and community settings. You’ll be part of a thoughtful, multidisciplinary team that celebrates neurodiversity and meets each child with curiosity and care.

Who We’re Looking For

● Creative, compassionate, and comfortable working directly with children in natural environment

● Team-oriented, flexible, and a warm communicator

● Criminal Record Check (with Vulnerable Sector) required

● Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is a valuable qualification but not required

● Experience with neurodivergent children is an asset

What You’ll Do

● Support goals from each child’s Individual Program Plan (IPP) under the guidance of a Clinical Lead

● Collaborate with professionals like SLPs, OTs, PTs, Psychologists, and Behaviour Consultants

● Build responsive, attuned relationships with children and families

● Use tools like visuals, social stories, and play-based strategies tailored to each child.





● Promote engagement and inclusion through real-life, everyday routines

When & How

● This flexible CDA role is available for an immediate start! Work hours vary based on family needs, with options from Monday to Sunday, but mostly on evenings and weekends.

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 – 18.0 per week
