We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our telecom clients BI group. In this role, you will build scalable ingestion frameworks and reliable data pipelines across GCP ecosystem, bridging traditional analytics and emerging AI/ML initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build batch and streaming ingestion pipelines from multi-source enterprise systems into Google Cloud.
- Design dimensional models, schemas, and semantic layers in BigQuery and dbt to support reporting and analytics.
- Partner with Data Science teams to prepare ML ready feature datasets and integrate with workflows.
- Implement automated data quality checks and performance optimizations across storage and compute layers.

Required Qualifications:

- 4+ years of software and data engineering experience using Python, Scala, or Java.
- Hands-on expertise across GCP data services, including BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and Dataproc.
- Proven experience building large-scale data transformations.




- Proficiency in Apache Spark (using Scala or PySpark).
- Robust knowledge of dimensional data modeling concepts and transformation tooling.
- Demonstrated background designing robust ingestion frameworks for enterprise databases, APIs, and event streams.
- Strong analytical skills specifically tailored to "Big Data" environments.
- Ability to take initiative and learn new technical standards and processes quickly.
- Motivation to work independently on multifaceted, complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Exposure to MLOps
- Experience with automated testing tools
- Familiarity with Docker, Terraform, CI/CD automation, and modern BI tools like Looker or Power BI.

Pay: From $50.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON (Toronto District)
