We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Appraiser to join our team and play a key role in managing the repair process from initial vehicle inspection through completion.

Position Overview

The Auto Body Detailer is responsible for ensuring vehicles are thoroughly cleaned, detailed, and prepared for inspection and customer delivery. This role involves interior and exterior vehicle cleaning, identifying minor damage, and performing buffing, polishing, and waxing as required. The Detailer also helps maintain a clean and organized shop environment and safely moves vehicles throughout the facility.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, team-focused, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work that helps create a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Thoroughly clean and detail vehicle interiors and exteriors to ensure vehicles are properly prepared for pre-inspection and final customer delivery.
- Complete interior cleaning, including vacuuming, wiping surfaces, cleaning windows and removing dirt, debris and other contaminants.
- Perform exterior washing and detailing to ensure vehicles are clean, presentable and meet company quality standards.
- Inspect vehicles after cleaning and identify dents, scratches, cracks or other visible damage that may need to be brought to the attention of the production team.
- Mark or document minor damage identified during the detailing process as required.
- Perform buffing, polishing and waxing to improve the appearance and finish of vehicles when required.
- Safely operate and move vehicles within and around the shop, ensuring appropriate care is taken while driving and positioning vehicles.




- Complete final vehicle preparation to ensure vehicles are clean, presentable and ready for customer pickup.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe detailing area and assist with general shop housekeeping, including sweeping, garbage removal and maintaining work areas.
- Properly use and care for detailing equipment, tools and cleaning products.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Work closely with Production Managers, Team Leads and other shop staff to ensure vehicles are completed efficiently and meet quality expectations.
- Manage multiple detailing tasks in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Communicate any concerns regarding vehicle condition, cleanliness, damage or required additional work to the appropriate team member.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements:

- Previous automotive detailing experience is an asset
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and performing standing, walking, bending and other physical tasks
