Part-Time Business Development Representative – Commission-Based
Rize Industries Ltd. is seeking a motivated, relationship-focused Business Development Representative to help generate new commercial, municipal, industrial, and infrastructure opportunities.
This is a flexible, part-time, commission-based position suited to an experienced sales professional who can work independently and build long-term client relationships. Candidates with existing contacts in construction, engineering, property management, municipal infrastructure, mining, oil and gas, or industrial services are strongly encouraged to apply.

Rize Industries Ltd. is a Métis-owned specialty contractor based in Abbotsford, British Columbia. We provide geotechnical polyurethane solutions and infrastructure coatings throughout British Columbia and Western Canada.
Our services include:
- Polyurethane concrete lifting and slab stabilization
- Chemical grouting and soil stabilization
- Void filling and water-infiltration control
- Polyurea waterproofing and protective coatings
- Secondary containment lining
- Culvert, pipe, tank, and manhole rehabilitation
- Municipal, industrial, mining, oil and gas, and infrastructure solutions
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Prospect and build relationships with contractors, engineers, municipalities, property managers, facility owners, and project managers
- Introduce Rize’s services to qualified prospective clients
- Make outbound calls and send professional introductory and follow-up emails
- Arrange meetings and presentations with prospective clients
- Monitor bidding platforms, upcoming projects, and procurement opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of contacts, leads, follow-ups, and sales activity
- Support the estimating and proposal process by gathering relevant project information
- Follow up on estimates and proposals to help move opportunities toward contract award
- Attend occasional client meetings, networking events, and industry functions
- Coordinate closely with Rize ownership and operations to ensure opportunities are properly qualified
Qualifications
- Previous experience in business development, B2B sales, construction sales, or technical-service sales
- Strong communication, prospecting, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, organized, professional, and comfortable working independently
- Able to understand technical construction services and clearly explain their value
- Comfortable communicating with engineers, estimators, contractors, project managers, and asset owners
- Proficient with email, Microsoft Office, and basic lead-tracking or CRM systems
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
Preferred Experience
- Existing relationships in construction, civil infrastructure, engineering, municipal procurement, property management, mining, oil and gas, or industrial maintenance
- Experience reviewing bid opportunities and construction documents
- Familiarity with concrete repair, geotechnical services, waterproofing, protective coatings, trenchless rehabilitation, or related services
- Previous experience working in a commission-based sales role
Compensation and Schedule
- Part-time and commission-based
- Flexible schedule with a focus on measurable activity and results
- Commission structure will be clearly established in a written agreement
- Compensation will be based on qualified opportunities that result in awarded and collected work
- Commission terms will address eligible accounts, payment timing, repeat work, and account ownership
- Technical training, marketing materials, estimating support, and operational support will be provided
- Opportunity to develop recurring accounts and grow into a larger role as sales increase
The successful candidate must understand that this is not a guaranteed-salary position. It is best suited to someone who is confident in their ability to generate qualified opportunities and develop productive industry relationships.
