Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Male Child and Youth Care Worker to join our team. Duties

- Engage with children and youth through active listening, encouragement, and positive reinforcement to promote emotional well-being and resilience
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs, including behavioral support and developmental activities
- Facilitate educational activities and teaching sessions that enhance learning, social skills, and independence
- Monitor daily routines, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times within the facility or program setting
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, therapists, and family members, to support holistic development




- Assist with crisis intervention when necessary, employing de-escalation techniques to maintain a calm environment
- Document observations, incidents, and progress reports accurately to ensure clear communication among team members

Experience

- Prior experience working with children in a care or educational setting is highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs adds valuable insight to your role
- Demonstrated ability to teach or facilitate learning activities effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with young people from diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of child development principles and behavior management strategies is preferred
