Job Summary

We are seeking an Electronic Service Technician Apprentice to join our team. This paid apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to develop foundational skills in electronic repair, maintenance, and technical troubleshooting. The role involves assisting experienced technicians in diagnosing and repairing electronic devices, with a focus on low voltage systems, computer hardware, and mechanical components. This position is ideal for individuals eager to build a career in electronics repair within a rapid-paced retail environment.

Duties

Assist in diagnosing electronic device issues using schematics and technical manuals.
Support the maintenance and repair of various electronic systems, including low voltage wiring and components.
Utilize hand tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble electronic devices accurately.
Learn to interpret schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting purposes.




Participate in routine inspections of computer hardware and network equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Help maintain organized work areas and document repair procedures systematically.
Collaborate with team members to improve repair processes and customer service quality.

Skills

Basic understanding of computer networking principles and hardware components.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to handle hand tools safely and effectively.
Knowledge of computer hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Familiarity with low voltage electrical systems used in electronic devices.
Strong attention to detail coupled with good problem-solving skills.
Willingness to learn new skills rapidly within a supportive team environment.

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
