The Arena Attendant helps install and maintain the ice, keeps the arena clean and safe, and provides support for events and customers.

This role is key to ensuring the Middleton & District Arena is welcoming and well-maintained.

Main Duties

● Ice Maintenance: Safely drive and operate the Olympia, maintain high-quality ice, and follow safety protocols.
● General Maintenance: Keep all areas clean (restrooms, locker rooms, lobby, bleachers, etc.), clear snow/ice from entrances, handle basic repairs, and assist with event set-up and tear-down.
● Customer Service: Greet patrons, answer questions, assist with skate/helmet rentals, and report inappropriate behaviour if needed.
● Other: Perform additional duties as assigned. Such as sharpening skates and working in the canteen when needed. Requirements
● Positive attitude and reliable work ethic.




● Ability to work evenings and weekends.
● Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on maintenance tasks.
● Comfortable working in cold conditions and outdoors in various weather.
● Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work independently or as part of a team. Assets
● Previous maintenance or mechanical experience (training provided).
● Good problem-solving and communication skills.
● Ability to multitask and stay organized.

Pay: $17.50-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
