We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Accounting Associate to join our law firm’s accounting team on a full-time basis. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys working with numbers, values accuracy, and takes pride in providing reliable support in a professional office environment.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will support a range of accounting functions, including billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, trust accounting support, reconciliations, work-in-progress reporting, and month-end/year-end processes.

What You Will Do

- Assist with client billing, WIP reporting, invoice preparation, payments, deposits, and account reconciliations.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including vendor invoices, payment entries, receipts, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
- Assist with law firm trust accounting processes and related documentation in accordance with firm policies and professional requirements.
- Maintain accurate accounting records, support month-end and year-end procedures, and respond to internal accounting inquiries.
- Protect the confidentiality of client, firm, financial, and personnel information at all times.

What You Bring

- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous accounting experience in a law firm, professional services firm, or corporate office environment is an asset.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and accounting or practice management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, communication skills, and the ability to manage recurring deadlines.
- Professionalism, discretion, confidentiality,



and a team-oriented approach.

Expected salary range is $60,000-$70,000 annually. Compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and role-specific knowledge. We provide fair and competitive compensation in accordance with our internal salary guidelines and prevailing market rates.
