The salary range for this position is:

- Recruitment range: $73,258 to $80,766. Starting salary is determined in accordance with the PEA Collective Agreement.
- Performance range: up to $95,260. Progression beyond the recruitment range is available through annual performance increases, in accordance with the PEA Collective Agreement.

Job Summary

Mandate:
Reporting to the Analytics and Business Intelligence Manager, the Data Analyst plays a central role in establishing a data driven culture across Alumni and Development (A&D;). The Data Analyst works closely with the Data Analyst, Report Writer to develop data analytics,



segmentations and business intelligence solutions for Alumni and Development and campus partners.

Objectives:

- Maintain high-quality data management by supporting complex queries and lists in Raiser’s Edge and NXT.
- Support data-driven decision-making through reports, dashboards, and visualizations that enhance fundraising and alumni engagement.
- Analyze and compile data for key A&D; projects, including CASE, CCAE, EAI surveys, and campaign reports.
- Assist in managing confidential Alumni and Development data, ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance.
- Support training efforts to enhance data literacy and system adoption for A&D; and external stakeholders in NXT and Power BI.

Job Requirements

This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, plus a minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in an educational or non-profit setting. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:

- Demonstrated experience creating queries, lists, segmentations, and reports in fundraising or alumni engagement environments.
- Expertise in retrieving, analyzing, and reporting on data from Raiser’s Edge to support decision-making.
- Proficiency with Business Intelligence tools like NXT Report Builder, Tableau,



and Power BI for developing dashboards and data visualizations.
- Experience with large data sets, complex queries, and segmentation for direct mail, email, and event lists.
- Strong knowledge of database management, including Microsoft SQL Server or Access.
- Familiarity with NXT Online tools for email and event management.
- Commitment to diversity and creating an inclusive work workplace.
- Proven ability to manage projects and deliver actionable insights within deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and manage independent projects.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations.
- Experience applying project management best practices to deliver data solutions efficiently.
