Position Summary
As a Siding Installer, you will be a key member of our field team, responsible for the expert installation of various cladding and building envelope systems. You will ensure that every project is completed with technical precision while maintaining a site setting that exceeds Alberta OH&S; safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
· System Installation: Install a variety of commercial cladding systems (Fiber cement, metal siding, composite panels, etc.) and weather-resistant barriers.
· Blueprint Execution: Read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications to ensure accurate layout and installation.
· Technical Problem Solving: Apply building envelope principles to address site-specific challenges.
· Safety Leadership: Comply with all Epic Commercial and Alberta OH&S; safety policies, including proper use of fall protection and PPE.
· Team Collaboration: Work effectively with site supervisors and other trades to ensure a seamless workflow.
Qualifications & Requirements
· Experience:
3-5 years of experience in Commercial building envelope or cladding installation.
· Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of building envelope components
· Licensing: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract.
· Safety Certifications: Fall Protection and Aerial Work Platform (AWP) certifications are considered strong assets.
· Attributes: Punctual, detail-oriented, and a positive attitude toward professional growth.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This is a physically demanding field role conducted in various weather conditions. Applicants must be:
· Comfortable working at heights and climbing scaffolding/ladders.
· Able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
· Able to perform physical tasks (bending, reaching, walking on uneven terrain) for extended periods.
· Willing to work overtime during peak season to meet project deadlines.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
