We are a music store and school in Ambleside area in West Van looking for a violin teacher to add to our team. Particularly for either Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays (preferably one weekday and Sunday).

You'd be hired as a contractor for long term based on an hourly pay rate between $38-60 depending on your education level and work experience and the students' level.

Must have:

- University/college level education in music, specially violin
- Must have at least 2+ years of teaching experience particularly to children in an educational setting
- Patient and empathetic towards students
- Ability to commute to West Vancouver for the given shifts and be punctual (on weekdays they'd typically be from 3pm and over time extending to 8-8:30pm)
- Ability to be tech savvy to manage given teaching schedule on its website/app (training provided)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with parents
- Organizational skills, team player qualities, cooperative skills with managers and staff




- Passionate about teaching music
- Positive attitude toward students and staff, a team player
- Can tailor teaching method according to student's goals/needs
- Knowledge of RCM and its examination process to help students (required)
- Help prepare suitable students for our recitals twice a year

This job is meant for individuals who like to grow with a company and to stay long term to teach as our customers don't like to change teachers often. Those with a secure plan to live in this city and with a permanent residency are preferred over those with a work permit.

Speaking more than one language is a valuable asset, particularly Mandarin or Korean.
