We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our Automation Department. This role supports the preparation and packaging of medications using automated pharmacy systems and works closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other members of the operations team to ensure medications are prepared accurately and on schedule.
The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with technology and automated equipment, and able to work in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, generally 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Hours may vary based on operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Operate and support automated medication packaging and dispensing equipment
- Prepare medication and supplies required for automated production
- Replenish medication canisters, inventory, and other supplies used by automation systems
- Assist with the preparation and processing of medication orders according to established pharmacy procedures
- Monitor automated production and identify issues requiring correction or escalation
- Maintain accurate inventory and identify medications or supplies requiring replenishment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure automation and production area
- Follow established procedures for medication handling, packaging, documentation, and quality assurance
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other pharmacy team members to meet production and delivery timelines
- Assist with other pharmacy operational duties as required
Qualifications
- Previous pharmacy experience is preferred
- Experience with pharmacy automation, compliance packaging, or high-volume pharmacy operations is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Comfortable working with computers, technology, and automated equipment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to follow established processes and procedures consistently
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced production workplace
- Flexibility to adjust working hours based on operational needs

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
