Our business is making friends! Here at Sentineal Carriages we provide guided tours to guests from all over the world. We work with wonderful horses to explore the rich history, majestic homes and peaceful scenery the way it was intended by horse drawn carriage. We operate from beside the Prince of Wales Hotel in Niagara on the Lake. We are looking for people who are interested in becoming Carriage Drivers, Ground Managers and Barn Help.

What a Carriage Driver does:

Safely drives and takes care of their horse during their shift

Gives a guided tour around Niagara on the Lake

Answers questions about the town and the horses

Takes care of the horse after the shift back at the barn and is able to trailer the horse back and forth

Able to follow all our safety measures and responsibilities

What a Ground Manager does:

Answers questions from guests about the tours, the horses and the town

Responsible for scheduling and organizing tours

Taking payment for tours via Square or cash

Be able to troubleshoot Square and know how to use alternative forms of payment

Record what time the people paid, what time they are going on tour and what driver they are going with

Take care of horse between tours providing them with water and holding them on the Drivers breaks





Sanitizing carriages between tours and following current Covid protocols

What Barn Help does:

Responsible for getting to the barn early in the morning

Responsible to feeding grain, hay and water to horses

Able to work unsupervised

Able to drive a truck and trailer into our town when delivering horses and drive a tractor to put hay outside for the horses

What we are looking for:

Someone who loves horses and understands working with them
Someone who is friendly and able to work independently but part of our team
Someone who is able to work on weekends and early mornings for barn help (operating hours are 10am to 10pm, 7 days a week)
Able to be organized, think quickly and occasionally deal with difficult customers
