Position: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are a fast-growing company with a new opening for a Mechanical Engineer Position. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for performing mechanical design duties and creation and of drawings in 3D and 2D.

Responsibilities

- Plan new product design and development projects and execute accordingly.
- Prepare detailed model concepts from design ideas for the development of new products.
- Perform engineering calculations and FEA Analysis during the design process to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Develop engineering models, prototypes and test set ups.
- Perform tolerance stack up analysis to have no issues in assembly and final fit.
- Create, revise, and organize production drawings and documentation using both AutoCAD and Inventor for manufacturing and assembly.
- Assist in the development of Technical Manuals for new and existing products.
- Support QMS initiatives by conforming to processes and procedures.

· Produce engineering designs and solutions that balance cost, quality and project schedule.





· Work effectively within a small but highly professional team of Mechanical, Electrical Engineering Team.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Structural background an asset.
- 2-4 years design experience in a mechanical/manufacturing field and in new product development.
- Licensed Professional Engineer an asset, or P Eng designation.
- Proficient in Autodesk Inventor 3D and AutoCAD.
- Experieced in parametric design and iLogic.
- Capacity of mechanical calculation and analysis of components and system.
- Experience using finite element analysis or similar engineering design software.
- Project management experience an asset.
- Excellent communication skills including oral and written communication.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
