Hours: 4 hours per week – Mondays or Wednesdays from 9:30am – 1:00pm for 8 weeks
Dates: October 5 – December 2, 2026

Making Changes is a community of women helping women and their families through life transition by providing them with the skills and resources to support their pursuit of meaningful work and educational opportunities.
About Digital Skills for Work & Learning (DSWL)
DSWL is a digital literacy program for foundational learners which focuses on building confidence, community, and technology skills in a protected and friendly group setting. The curriculum focuses on the tools and skills needed for future education and employment such as workplaces applications, online learning tools, online meetings, and career and learning planning.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the DSWL Program Manager, the DSWL volunteer is responsible for supporting 10 foundational learners as they build relationships, confidence, and technology skills in a safe and friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Attending introduction and training meetings prior to the start of the program.
- Classroom set-up and take-down.
- Supporting the facilitation of learning activities.
- Providing 1 on 1 support to students.
- Sharing notes and feedback with the facilitator.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with students or clients with CLB 2-4 level English.
- Experience supporting or facilitating adult learning programs.
- Strong English language skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening). Must have a CLB level of 5+ or equivalent.
- Able to attend to all or most of the 8 classes in the 8-week program from Oct 5 – Dec 2.
- Volunteer position is open to women, non-binary, and gender-diverse people.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $5.00-$10.00 per year
