Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Restaurant Cook specializing in Hakka Cuisine to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Indo-Chinese/Hakka dishes, kitchen operations, food preparation, and maintaining high food quality standards in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook authentic Hakka dishes including noodles, fried rice, Manchurian, chili chicken, soups, and specialty sauces
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are maintained
- Assist in menu planning and recipe development
- Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Monitor inventory and assist with ordering kitchen supplies
- Work efficiently during busy service hours
- Train and support junior kitchen staff when required

Requirements





- Minimum 1–2 years of experience cooking Hakka or Indo-Chinese cuisine
- Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and food safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace
- Team player with good communication skills
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in Canadian restaurant kitchens
- Food Handler Certification
- Ability to prepare both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Hakka dishes
