CNC Milling Set-up Operator - Ancaster, ON
Our client is a well-established manufacturing and machining service provider with over three decades of experience serving diverse industries. With a state-of-the-art 7,200-square-foot facility equipped with cutting-edge technology and rigorous quality-control systems, they specialize in delivering precision-machined components with a strong commitment to on-time performance and uncompromising quality standards.
Our client is currently looking for a CNC Milling Technician to join their production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines, ensuring precision, efficiency, and adherence to strict quality benchmarks.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines for both new and recurring production jobs.
- Interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and job specifications to guide machining processes.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding solutions.
- Configure tool offsets, work coordinates, and machine parameters for optimal performance.
- Adjust programs and offsets to meet exact blueprint specifications and tolerances.
- Perform tool changes and fine-tune machine settings to maintain part quality and efficiency.
- Conduct first-off and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools like micrometers and calipers.
- Troubleshoot issues related to machining, tooling, or quality, implementing corrective actions.

Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience setting up CNC machining centres, with a focus on milling.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls and CNC machine programming.
- Experience with Fusion 360 or similar CAD/CAM software preferred.
- Ability to independently adjust programs, tooling, and offsets to meet specifications.
- Solid understanding of cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and their impact on machining performance.
- Experience using 3D printers for tooling or production applications is an asset.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
