Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of freight transportation by coordinating shipments, managing schedules, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in data entry, and the ability to utilize transportation management systems effectively.

Duties

- Coordinate and schedule freight shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to track shipments and manage logistics operations.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain up-to-date records of shipments and schedules.
- Monitor shipping and receiving processes to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Handle phone systems efficiently, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while addressing inquiries from clients and drivers.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers as needed for optimal service delivery.




- Assist in troubleshooting any logistical challenges that may arise during the shipping process.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in dispatching or logistics is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with freight operations and shipping/receiving processes is a plus.
- Proficient in using computer systems, including AS400 and other transportation management software.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic understanding of transportation management systems is desirable.
- Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload effectively.

Pay: $55,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
