About us
Sedâ Psychotherapy is an Ontario-based virtual psychotherapy practice founded by Nikki Sedaghat. Our small team of therapists serve individuals, couples, and families across diverse cultural, relational, and social contexts. Our mission is to provide accessible, affirming, and compassionate mental health care that respects the complexity and diversity in being a human.
Position Details:
We're seeking a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). This position is for an independent contractor looking to build a private practice caseload within a virtual Toronto-based practice.
Successful candidates are expected to be a registrant in good standing with the CRPO and have experience in individual and relational therapy. A Masters degree is in psychotherapy/counselling is required. Candidates with postmodern and systemic training, including backgrounds in Couple and Family Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Solutions-Focused Therapy are preferred. Interest in sex therapy is an asset. Commitment to anti-opressive and anti-racist practices are required.
The associate is expected to be available for a minimum of 5 direct client hours/week. The clinician can expect to receive referrals from the clinic and to be encouraged to seek out their own referrals as well. We provide a competitive split-rate, client referrals, flexible working hours determined by the associate, and regular team consultations.
Qualifications
- Current registration in good standing with a relevant Ontario regulatory body (e.g., CRPO, CPO, College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, College of Nurses of Ontario with psychotherapy authorization)
- Graduate-level training in psychotherapy/counselling
- Strong foundation in psychology and mental health, with demonstrated ability to assess and treat a range of emotional and behavioural concerns
- Experience working with individuals and couples or other relationship constellations
- Experience or training in anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and systemically oriented approaches to psychotherapy
- Ability to provide therapy via secure virtual platforms (e.g., Jane App, Zoom), with strong digital literacy and reliable internet access
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to build rapport and maintain therapeutic alliances remotely
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, self-reflection, and ethical practice
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of psychotherapeutic/counselling experience
- Training and/or experience working with neurodivergent clients from a neuro-affirming lens
- Training and/or experience working with gender-diverse and 2SLGBTQIA+ populations
- Training and experience in couples/relational therapy (e.g., Couple and Family Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, postmodern/systemic modalities)
- Training and/or experience in sex therapy
- Farsi/Persian-speaking applicants

Pay: $120.00-$150.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6.0 – 15.0 per week
