About VelvetMoo

VelvetMoo is a unique café and gelateria specializing in premium products made with fresh Jersey A2 milk. We serve handcrafted gelato, specialty coffee and matcha, milkshakes, desserts, food, and our signature drinks and experiences.

We’re looking for friendly, energetic, and reliable Café Team Members to join our growing team.

What You’ll Do

As a Café Team Member, you’ll be trained to work across different areas of VelvetMoo, including:

- Welcome customers and provide friendly, attentive service
- Take orders and process payments using our POS system
- Scoop and serve gelato
- Prepare coffee, matcha, milkshakes, specialty drinks, desserts, and food items
- Learn our menu and confidently explain products to customers
- Follow VelvetMoo recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards
- Maintain a clean and organized café throughout your shift
- Clean and sanitize equipment, counters, tables, and work areas
- Restock ingredients, cups, packaging, and supplies
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace procedures
- Work efficiently and maintain great service during busy periods
- Support other team members wherever needed

What We’re Looking For

- Friendly, positive, and comfortable interacting with customers




- Reliable and punctual
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to learn and work at different stations
- Strong attention to cleanliness, quality, and presentation
- Able to stand for extended periods during shifts
- Previous café, restaurant, barista, retail, or customer-service experience is an asset, but not required — training will be provided

Availability

- Weekend availability is required
- Daytime and evening availability is preferred
- Flexible availability is an asset
