Technician Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Red Seal Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, take pride in quality workmanship, and be committed to providing safe, reliable, and professional automotive service.

Experience working on European vehicles is highly preferred, as well as experience with fleet vehicles and fleet maintenance.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using advanced diagnostic equipment, service information, and wiring schematics.
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair European vehicles and other makes.
- Perform brake, steering, suspension, drivetrain, engine, and electrical repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire services, and inspections.
- Identify the root cause of vehicle concerns and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Use scan tools, diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and services performed.
- Follow manufacturer specifications, safety procedures, and industry standards.
- Work efficiently with the team to maintain a productive workflow and high standard of workmanship.

Requirements

- Red Seal Automotive Service Technician certification required.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with the ability to diagnose complex vehicle concerns.




- Previous experience in an automotive repair shop or dealership environment.
- European automotive repair experience is highly preferred.
- Fleet repair and maintenance experience is an asset.
- Strong ability to use automotive diagnostic equipment and scan tools.
- Ability to read and interpret automotive wiring diagrams and technical service information.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license.
- Robust communication and customer service skills.
