Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to inspire and educate students in the fundamentals and advanced concepts of mathematics. Duties

- Deliver engaging lessons that cover a broad range of mathematical topics, from basic arithmetic to complex algebra and geometry
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that cater to wide-ranging learning styles and abilities
- Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, tests, projects, and classroom participation, providing constructive feedback
- Adapt teaching strategies for students with special education needs or those requiring additional academic support
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and active participation




- Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary activities and share best practices in math education
- Utilize laboratory or practical activities when applicable to enhance understanding of mathematical concepts through hands-on experience

Experience

- Prior classroom experience teaching mathematics at the middle school or high school level is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to tutor students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those in special education programs
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts clearly and motivate students
- Familiarity with educational technology tools and software that support math instruction and student engagement
- Laboratory experience related to mathematical applications or STEM fields is a plus but not required
- A background in teaching or tutoring math at various levels ensures readiness to adapt lessons for different age groups and skill levels

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 15.0 per week
