Position Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, tagging, and documenting portable fire extinguishers at customer locations.

They will also be trained to install commercial kitchen fire-suppression systems and complete the required semi-annual inspections, testing, maintenance, and documentation. All work must be performed accurately and in compliance with applicable safety codes, manufacturer requirements, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Travel to customer locations throughout Western Nova Scotia to perform scheduled fire-protection services
- Inspect, service, tag, and document portable fire extinguishers
- Identify and address extinguishers requiring maintenance, recharging, repair, or replacement
- Install commercial kitchen fire-suppression systems
- Perform required semi-annual inspections, testing, servicing, and maintenance of suppression systems
- Accurately complete inspection reports, service records, and other required documentation
- Clearly communicate deficiencies, service requirements, and recommendations to customers
- Manage daily appointments and complete assigned work efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service vehicle
- Properly care for company tools, equipment, and supplies
- Follow applicable safety codes, manufacturer requirements, and company procedures at all times

Qualifications:

- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract




- Clean criminal record check & child abuse registry check
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, and safely manoeuvring in tight or restricted spaces and at heights
