Overview

Castle Mountain Resort is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team in the beautiful South Canadian Rocky Mountains, with plenty of opportunity to explore the area after work and on your days off. This role is responsible for performing and documenting maintenance across CMR's buildings — including the Day Lodge, Staff Accommodation, Hotel/Hostel, and other on-hill assets. It's a highly varied position where no two days are the same: one day you might be painting, the next repairing a furnace, and the next building picnic tables. - Full-time, year-round
- 40hr/ week. Overtime may be required, based on operational need

Responsibilities

- Working in Mountain Office, our computerized maintenance management system. To create schedules, check lists, and document maintenance.
- Repair of damaged infrastructure (drywall, painting, etc.)
- Basic furnace and hot water heater maintenance.
- Small plumbing repairs.
- Unplugging toilets and sewers, if necessary.
- Assisting plumbers or electricians.
- Carpentry (current construction, renovations and repairs).
- Assist with other building or maintenance tasks on-hill as required.

- Experience with general maintenance work such as, drywalling, painting, basic plumbing, furnace and hot water heater maintenance
- Ability to work independently while meeting job tasks
- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Solid judgment
- Critical thinking skills

Requirements

- A positive attitude, ability to work in a rapidly changing environment, and a genuine excitement for an outdoor lifestyle
- Fluency in English
- Positive and proactive approach to teamwork and working with others
- Ability to work unsupervised for long periods of time

Where We Are

Castle Mountain Resort is located at the end of Highway 774, near Pincher Creek, AB. This is a remote work location. There is a communal living Staff Accommodation building on-site for new and returning non-supervisory, seasonal employees. Work Conditions

- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors,



often in varying and sometimes extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, snow, wind)
- Physically demanding role requiring standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)
- Working at heights (ladders, roofs)
- Exposure to tools, machinery, and materials such as paint, solvents, and basic construction supplies
- Schedule may include weekends and holidays during peak operation times
- Fast-paced, varied environment where priorities can shift throughout the day
- Some tasks may require working alone; others as part of a team
- This is a remote location. Own vehicle for commuting and comfort with winter driving is required
