Retail Merchandiser / Fixture Installer – 5-Week Overnight Project

TDT Construction and Fixture Installations is looking for motivated, reliable, and hardworking individuals to join our team for an upcoming five-week retail construction and merchandising project in Campbell River, BC.

Project Location

The Home Depot – Campbell River
1482 Island Hwy
Campbell River, BC V9W 8C9

This position is for one location only. Successful candidates will work at the Campbell River location for the full duration of the project. No travel between stores is required.

Project Details

Project Duration: 5 weeks
Dates: September 21 – October 23, 2026
Schedule: Monday to Friday nights
Shift: Approximately 9:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
Thanksgiving: No work Friday, October 9 or Monday, October 12

This is a temporary project-based/contract position. Candidates must be available to work overnight shifts and should be able to commit to the full five-week project.

At the completion of the project, individuals who demonstrate strong reliability, work ethic, and performance may be considered for opportunities to work with TDT Construction and Fixture Installations on future projects or in a more permanent capacity.

About the Work

You will be working as part of an experienced crew completing a large-scale retail reset inside a Big Box Store. The environment involves a combination of retail merchandising, fixture installation, steel racking, planograms, and general hands-on labour.

The work is physical and quick-paced. We are looking for individuals who are comfortable working with their hands, following detailed instructions, and contributing to a team environment.

Scope of Work

Responsibilities may include:

- Merchandising and relocating retail products
- Setting and resetting bays according to planograms
- Reading and executing planograms and space guides




- Setting up and adjusting retail racking and steel
- Installing, moving, and resetting retail fixtures
- De-merchandising and re-merchandising product
- Moving product and materials throughout the work area
- Using basic hand and power tools
- Assisting with light-duty construction and fixture installation
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Completing general labour and other duties assigned by the Site Supervisor

Duties & Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be expected to:

- Follow the direction of the Site Supervisor and project leadership
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a crew
- Read, understand, and execute planograms accurately
- Review instructions and understand assigned work before beginning tasks
- Maintain a professional relationship with store staff and management
- Remain mindful of customers, store operations, cleanliness, and the crew's work footprint
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and within project timelines
- Follow all site safety procedures
- Maintain a robust level of attendance and punctuality throughout the five-week project

Requirements

Candidates must:

- Have reliable transportation to and from 1482 Island Hwy, Campbell River, BC for each scheduled shift
- Be available to work overnight shifts, Monday through Friday
- Be physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs independently
- Be comfortable performing physical work for the duration of the shift




- Have experience or familiarity with basic hand and power tools
- Be a confident team player with a strong work ethic
- Be reliable, punctual, organized, and attentive to detail
- Be able to take direction and communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers
- Have required steel-toe safety footwear and PPE
- Be able to commit to the project's five-week schedule

Preferred Experience

The following experience is considered an asset:

- Retail merchandising
- Planogram execution
- Retail resets
- Fixture installation
- Steel/racking installation or adjustment
- General or light-duty construction
- Big Box retail environments
- Previous Home Depot, Walmart, or Lowe's project experience

Working Conditions

This position involves working overnight inside an active Big Box retail environment. The project includes both construction and merchandising activities.

All required PPE and safety procedures must be followed while on site. Candidates should be prepared for prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, and other physical activities throughout the shift.

Education

High school diploma is considered an asset but is not required.

Compensation

$20.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience.
