Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and bilingual Logistics Dispatcher fluent in French and English to coordinate transportation operations efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of supply chain processes. As a Logistics Dispatcher, you will be responsible for managing freight movements, scheduling shipments, and ensuring seamless coordination between carriers, clients, and internal teams. Your proactive approach and expertise in transportation management systems will contribute significantly to optimizing logistics workflows and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Duties

- Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using transportation management systems to ensure timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, clients, and internal departments in both French and English via multi-line phone systems and email.
- Monitor shipment status and provide real-time updates to stakeholders, addressing any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate data entry within logistics software such as AS400 and SyteLine, ensuring all shipping & receiving records are current.
- Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency enhancements.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL)



to coordinate freight movements and resolve logistical challenges.
- Manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and delivery confirmations with precision.
- Uphold skilled phone etiquette and communication skills when liaising with clients, carriers, and team members.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in transportation management systems (TMS), shipping & receiving, or supply chain roles.
- Strong knowledge of freight operations within a 3PL environment or similar logistics setting.
- Familiarity with AS400 enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and SyteLine software is preferred.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret logistics data for decision-making purposes.
- Exceptional communication skills in both French and English, with proficiency in phone etiquette and multi-line phone systems.
- Accurate typing skills combined with attention to detail for data entry tasks.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
