Our client, is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to support a long-term industrial power systems program across multiple oil and gas facilities. This role will focus on electrical system studies, protection analysis, and low-to-medium voltage infrastructure assessments. The successful candidate will join a project team supporting a portfolio of sites across Texas and Recent Mexico with no travel requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform power system studies for industrial facilities and process operations.
- Conduct protection coordination and arc flash analysis for existing electrical systems.
- Complete low-voltage and medium-voltage system evaluations and recommendations.
- Develop engineering reports, technical documentation, and study deliverables.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project stakeholders to support ongoing program work.
- Review electrical system data from a variety of facility types, including compression stations and tank battery sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5 to 15 years of power systems engineering experience, with approximately 10 years preferred.
- Experience performing protection coordination and arc flash studies.
- Strong working knowledge of SKM PowerTools.
- Experience with industrial electrical systems, including low-voltage (600V) and medium-voltage applications.
- Ability to independently execute engineering studies and technical assessments.
- Previous experience supporting energy, petrochemical, or heavy industrial facilities.
Nice-to-Have
- Exposure to large multi-site electrical infrastructure programs.
- Experience supporting upstream or midstream oil and gas operations.
- Professional Engineering (P.Eng. or PE) designation.

The estimated pay rate for this position is CAD $60 to CAD $95 per year as of the posting date. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and training. Please note that this range reflects the base pay rate only and does not include any applicable bonuses or benefits.
