Industrial Cleaner / Sanitation Technician

$20.58 per hour

Nova Staffing is currently recruiting for Industrial Cleaners / Sanitation Technicians for a busy food processing facility. Sanitation is one of the most important functions within the plant, ensuring equipment, machinery, and production areas remain clean, safe, and operating efficiently. Well-maintained equipment contributes to a safer workplace and higher-quality food products.

Wage

$20.58 per hour

Shift Schedule

Rotating 12-hour shifts:

- 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Alternating day and night shifts
- Schedule provided on the first day and subject to change based on operational requirements

Responsibilities

- Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, and processing areas
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning
- Use sanitation chemicals safely and effectively
- Follow Positive Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety standards
- Remove waste and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility
- Complete sanitation documentation as required
- Follow all plant safety procedures and company policies
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet sanitation standards
- Report equipment concerns and safety hazards promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Required Qualifications

- Previous industrial cleaning, sanitation, janitorial, manufacturing, warehouse,



or food production experience is considered an asset
- Ability to work rotating day and night shifts
- Comfortable working around industrial machinery and cleaning chemicals
- Able to perform physically demanding work, including bending, lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to work safely and follow procedures at all times
- English language requirement: Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 or higher

Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

The following PPE is required while performing sanitation duties:

- Hard hat/helmet
- Hearing protection
- Rain suit
- Chemical-resistant rubber gloves
- Face shield
- Safety glasses
- Chemical mask/respirator as required
- Chemical-resistant safety footwear

Successful candidates must complete all required onboarding and training before their first shift, including:

- Employee Personnel Record

- Occupational Health & Safety Training Video & Quiz
- GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Training Video & Quiz
