Join our team as a part-time Line Cook/Prep Cook, where your passion for food and dedication to excellence will shine! In this role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen, preparing fresh ingredients, cooking flavourful dishes, and ensuring every plate meets our high standards. Your enthusiasm for food service and commitment to food safety will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests. Working with our experienced chef and sous-chef, this position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a quick-paced, supportive environment while contributing to a vibrant restaurant community. Shifts may include afternoons, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes efficiently, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Cook menu items accurately and consistently, following established recipes and procedures
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in accordance with food safety regulations
- Support the serving team by ensuring timely delivery of orders and accommodating special requests




- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are upheld at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service hours

Qualifications

- Previous food service experience, including working in a restaurant or similar environment, is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards learning and growth
- Basic understanding of serving procedures and meal presentation is a plus
