We are currently looking for a full time Environmental Health and Safety Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist with the continuous updating and implementation of the Health, Safety and Environment management system for COR certification.
- Maintain all safety records, forms, logs and documents in an organized filing system as required by MOL. the COR Audit Program, the IHSA SGAT Group & WSIB.
- Audit all documentation from supervisors and/or foreman as it relates to health and safety setting program (audits, inspections, tool box talks, job safety analysis review etc.)
- Oversee safety of multiple workers, trades and/or contractors
- Investigate accidents and prepare all relative paperwork/forms for workers’ compensation and/or OSHA
- Complete new hire orientations and new hire forms
- Ensure timely communication with management, supervisors and employees
- Support occupational health and safety committees and meetings
- Work collaboratively with management,



employees and contractors to identify and evaluate risks associated with hazards in the workplace and recommend changes to eliminate or control these hazards
- Coordinating and performing safety training sessions – Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platforms, WHIMS 2015.
- Attend various meetings and provide documents to Constructors and / or Owners of projects.

Qualifications:

- Occupational Health & Safety Certificate/Diploma
- CRSP designation or equivalent
- Certified & Approved MOL working at Heights Trainer & Elevated Lift / Platform Instructor.
- Experience in construction safety would be an asset
- Good organizational and computer skills (Microsoft and Excel)
- Excellent time management skills and ability to perform in fast paced, high energy and demanding role
- Experience working with unions would be an asset
- Current certifications in WHMIS, Safety Orientation, Fall Protection, Confined Space and other certifications
- Knowledge and experience with WSIB case management practices is an asset
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others with minimum supervision
- Ability to adapt to changing work environments and requirements to meet the needs of the clients
- Ability to drive a vehicle for work related purposes

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
