Heavy Equipment Operator – Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate a variety of heavy machinery to support civil construction, mainline utility work, and site development. This role requires strong safety awareness, precision, and efficiency to ensure smooth project execution. Key Duties

- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other construction equipment with precision and full adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform mainline digging around live utilities and support civil works projects.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, grades, and elevations to complete work accurately.




- Assist with minor repairs related to heavy machinery when required.
- Follow project plans, site instructions, and supervisor direction to complete tasks efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment at all times.

Qualifications

- Proven experience operating heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, and other construction machinery.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures, especially when working around live utilities.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail, robust safety awareness, and reliable work habits.

Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour
