Journeyperson & Apprentice Electricians - Project in Squamish, BC

Our client is a leading construction firm with nearly four decades of experience in institutional, commercial, and industrial projects. Based in Abbotsford, British Columbia, they operate across the Fraser Valley and Greater Vancouver, including Squamish, Burnaby, Surrey, and surrounding areas. Specializing in large-scale, non-residential projects, they prioritize safety, training, and professional growth for their team members.

Our client is looking for Journeyman Certified Electricians and Apprentices to join their team for a long-term, two-year project in Squamish, BC.

Responsibilities

- Install conduit, wiring, and BX systems.
- Work with distribution equipment and electrical panels.
- Install and maintain fire alarm systems and low-voltage lighting controls.
- Complete finishing tasks, including fixtures and devices.
- Perform lighting upgrades and energy-efficient installations.
- Collaborate with a skilled team on large-scale commercial and industrial projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and identify solutions.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.

Journeyman Qualifications





- Valid Interprovincial Journeyman Electrician certification.
- Experience with EMT conduit bending is an asset.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Ownership of hand tools required for the job.
- Ability to pass a criminal record check for project clearance.

Apprentice Qualifications:

- 1+ years of electrical apprenticeship experience (Journeyman track).
- New apprentices with an electrical pre-apprentice course or relevant construction experience.
- Eagerness to learn and develop skills in a structured training environment.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
