Monarch Child & Family Therapy is looking for a psychotherapist, counsellor, or therapist with a Master's degree in counselling psychology, social work, or marriage and family therapy. Monarch Child & Family Therapy provides services to children, adolescents, adults and families as well as educational and consultative services to parents and professionals from an attachment and trauma-based lens. We use a collaborative, strengths-based approach and take pride in being client-focused.

We are currently hiring to cover a maternity leave, however, due to high demand of new clients, this position has the strong potential to expanding beyond that timeframe. We are offering a flexible schedule with an online booking system in a newly renovated therapy space that includes a spacious waiting room, coffee and snack bar, and four shared therapy offices. Services of the successful therapist will be on a contractual basis and will perform as an autonomous mental health practitioner in a collaborative setting. The position may be tailored to varying specialties and experiences.

Scheduling and office sharing is organized by morning and afternoon timeframes 9:30-2:10 & 2:10-6:30. Evening and weekends are also available and often frequently requested by clients. Each timeframe consists of 4 sessions and scheduling is done through the Jane App.



We also have a virtual assistant who manages client on-boarding.

Clinical supervision is included and professional development is supported.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Completed Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or equivalent required

- Hold a qualified license in Manitoba with liability insurance (not pending)

- Provide a Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector), Adult & Child Abuse Registry Checks

- Strong knowledge of key treatment modalities related to children, adolescents, adults and families

- More than 2 years of therapy-related experience preferred

- Active participation as a team member in case reviews/consults as well as client referrals

- Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and work collaboratively with others

- Skills and experience working with diverse populations
