Bona Building & Management Co. Ltd.is seeking a motivated and experienced Painter / Drywall Repair Technician to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and integrity of our high-rise apartment buildings and townhouse communities in Ottawa.

The successful candidate will have experience in painting, drywall repair, firestopping procedures, and general building maintenance, while providing excellent service to residents and working collaboratively with staff and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and paint vacant and occupied residential units.

- Paint throughout the property, including:

· Interior walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and frames

- Common areas
- Parking Garage
- Parking lot lines
- Fences and exterior building components
- Perform drywall installation, repairs, patching, taping, mudding, sanding, caulking, and finishing.
- Complete ceiling repairs and restoration work.
- Install and repair baseboards, trim, and other finishing materials.
- Restore walls and ceilings following plumbing, electrical, or maintenance repairs.
- Assist the Building Maintenance Manager in identifying and repairing water leaks and related damage.
- Ensure fire-rated walls, ceilings, and assemblies are properly restored and sealed following repairs.
- Follow firestopping requirements and building safety standards when closing penetrations or openings in fire-rated assemblies.
- Assist with contractor coordination and site work as required.
- Assist building staff with snow removal and salting.




- Maintain organized & tidy work areas and follow all health and safety procedures.
- Provide the office with accurate material and supply requirements to support upcoming projects and repairs.
- Complete work orders efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential or commercial painting.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in drywall installation, repairs, taping, mudding, and finishing.
- Knowledge of drywall repair procedures and firestopping requirements.
- Understanding fire-rated wall and ceiling restoration practices.
- Experience working in occupied residential buildings is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Willingness to learn and expand skills.
- Ability to safely use ladders, power tools, and painting equipment.
- Maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality
- Clear criminal record check required.
- Wear CSA certified work boots

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday
7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

- 30-minute unpaid lunch break
- Two 15-minute paid breaks

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
