About the Role
Lion Healthcare is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to support the daily operations of our Long-Term Care facility in Orangeville, ON.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, and committed to maintaining a clean, secure, and comfortable environment for our residents.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Facility Maintenance & Support

- Perform routine cleaning, sanitizing, and upkeep of indoor and outdoor areas.
- Assist with minor repairs, painting, and general maintenance tasks.
- Maintain the cleanliness of common areas, hallways, storage rooms, and exterior walkways.
- Ensure proper waste removal, recycling, and disposal procedures are followed.

Resident Support

- Assist with room setups, furniture moves, and equipment placement as needed.
- Support staff during resident moves or facility events by providing physical labour assistance.




- Respond to staff requests for maintenance and housekeeping support in a timely manner.

Safety & Compliance

- Follow all health and safety regulations, infection prevention protocols, and LTC facility standards.
- Report potential safety hazards, damaged equipment, or maintenance issues promptly.
- Use cleaning supplies, tools, and maintenance equipment safely and responsibly.

Teamwork & Communication

- Work collaboratively with nursing, housekeeping, dietary, and administrative teams.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with residents, staff, and visitors.
- Participate in mandatory training sessions and team meetings.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in general labour, maintenance, or housekeeping preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and tools.
- Robust work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
