About the Job

We’re looking for a friendly, energetic Bartender/Server to join our team at a busy, no-frills dive bar featuring live music, good drinks, and a laid-back atmosphere.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with people, can handle a fast-paced environment, and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty. Our ideal candidate is dependable, personable, quick on their feet, and knows how to keep the good times rolling while providing great service.

Responsibilities

● Greet customers and provide friendly, attentive service

● Take food and drink orders and serve customers efficiently

● Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and other beverages

● Operate the POS system and accurately handle cash and card transactions

● Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar and service area

● Check on customers throughout their visit and respond to their needs

● Work effectively during busy nights, live music events, and peak service periods

● Help with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking

● Follow responsible alcohol service and identification procedures

● Work as part of a team to keep the bar running smoothly

● Help create a welcoming, fun, and respectful atmosphere for customers and performers





What We’re Looking For

● Previous bartending or serving experience preferred

● Smart Serve certification (or applicable provincial certification) required

● Comfortable working in a loud, busy bar environment

● Strong communication and customer-service skills

● Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

● Ability to stay calm and organized when things get hectic

● Comfortable working late nights, weekends, and live music events

● A good sense of humour and a positive attitude

● Must be comfortable with a true dive-bar environment — we’re casual, sometimes loud, occasionally chaotic, and always about good people, positive music, and good times

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
