Express Employment Professionals – Winnipeg West is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for a Machine Assistant / Operator to join their production team.

THE ROLE

Our client is looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and willing to learn. You will have the opportunity to train on a variety of packaging and converting equipment while supporting daily production operations.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist with operating and learning different packaging conversion machines
- Train on Solventless Laminator, Slitter, and Pouch Converter equipment
- Assist with machine setup and production preparation
- Review production orders and follow job specifications
- Perform quality checks throughout the production process
- Identify and report defective products or production issues
- Ensure proper packaging and labeling
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
- Assist with basic machine maintenance




- Support shipping and receiving activities

WHAT OUR CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR

- Previous flexible packaging or manufacturing experience is an asset
- Experience with laminators, bag conversion, or similar equipment is an advantage
- Robust attention to detail and coordination skills
- Quick learner with good organizational skills
- Able to work efficiently and meet deadlines
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Forklift certification required
- Physically capable of heavy lifting and repetitive work
- Mechanical knowledge or experience is an asset
- Reliable and dependable
