Job Summary

We are seeking a energetic and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice! In this essential role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing appointment scheduling, patient check-ins, and administrative tasks. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel valued and cared for. The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, and passionate about delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced dental setting.

Responsibilities

- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Manage multi-line phone systems efficiently, directing calls to appropriate team members and handling inquiries promptly.
- Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and medical history accurately using electronic medical records systems.
- Assist patients with paperwork, explain treatment procedures, and answer questions about billing or insurance coverage.




- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area while ensuring all office supplies are stocked and equipment is functioning properly.
- Support the dental team by managing correspondence, processing payments, and handling administrative documentation with precision.

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office environment; dental office experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and familiarity with practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and general office technology.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in managing schedules and patient information.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and friendliness.
- Prior experience with medical terminology, office administration, and customer service is a plus.
