Position Overview

The Family Wellness Worker is a frontline role responsible for providing consistent, compassionate, and active support to families in a structured, high-engagement residential environment. This position works directly alongside parents and children, supporting family wellness, healing, and stabilization through hands-on involvement.

At WOLFE Family Wellness, this is not a passive or observational role. Staff are expected to be present, engaged, and actively supporting families throughout their shift, including during routines, programming, and high-need moments.

This role supports daily routines, family wellness, safety, and emotional regulation while maintaining a structured, respectful, and nurturing environment rooted in trauma-informed and culturally grounded care.

We are currently seeking both casual and part time Family Wellness Workers who are available to work the following shifts: Evening and Weekends

Key Responsibilities

- Provide hands-on, strengths-based support to parents and children during evening and weekend programming
- Support weekday routines, including meals, family connection time, children’s routines, and transitions
- Support weekend daytime activities, family wellness programming, and structured recreation
- Maintain a safe, calm, and structured residential environment during all assigned shifts
- Provide parenting support, emotional regulation strategies, and daily living assistance
- Support and participate in cultural activities and family-centered programming as scheduled
- Observe, document, and communicate client progress, concerns, and incidents to the team
- Collaborate closely with the Family Wellness Team Lead, clinical staff, and cultural supports




- Model healthy boundaries, respectful communication, and trauma-informed care

Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma or degree in Human Services, Social Work, Child & Youth Care, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working with families, children, and/or individuals impacted by trauma, addictions, or family separation
- Knowledge of Indigenous cultures, teachings, and community-based approaches (lived experience welcomed)
- Robust interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to remain calm, grounded, and supportive in emotionally complex situations

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that requires consistent engagement. Applicants must be comfortable working in an environment where they actively support families throughout the shift, manage competing priorities, and respond to real-time needs. This role is best suited for individuals who are proactive, dependable, and motivated to contribute meaningfully to family wellness work.

Requirements

- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
- Valid First Aid & CPR
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Proof of $2 million personal vehicle liability insurance
- Availability to work:
- Weekdays: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM or 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Weekends: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM and/or 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
