Join Our Team!

We are seeking a Labourer to join our growing team. This role will support skilled tradespeople and construction crews by performing a variety of labouring duties to assist with the safe and efficient completion of construction projects.

What You'll Do

- Load and unload construction materials and move materials to/around work areas.
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites.
- Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete, asphalt & other construction materials.
- Assist tradespersons, carpenters & apprentices in construction/renovation/demolition activities.
- Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities.




- Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel.
- Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials.
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment.
- Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed.
- Tend site machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors, pumps and heaters as directed.
- Clean up construction debris and remove materials to refuse container.
- Oil and grease construction mobile powered equipment as directed.
- Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
- Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.
- Site dewatering.
- Maintain the highest standards of safety performance on your respective project sites.
- Must use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required provided by Synergy Project.
- Must follow secure work procedures and report any unsafe acts or conditions.

Working Conditions

- Physically demanding work involving lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, kneeling, and repetitive tasks.
- Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments throughout all seasons.
- Must be able to pass a 50 lb Fitness to Work assessment.




- Must have reliable transportation to travel to assigned job sites.
- Must be willing and able to work on out-of-town projects as required.
- Appropriate PPE must be worn and maintained in accordance with company policies and OH&S; regulations.
- Weekend work may be required depending on project schedules.
- Other duties as assigned.

What you Bring

- Some experience as a general construction labourer may be required.
- Construction task skills and knowledge would be an asset.
- Communication skills, ability to speak, read, write and understand English required.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a construction team.
- An understanding of OH&S; and corporate safety policy and procedures is an asset.
- Knowledge of carpentry methods, construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and attention to detail.
- WHMIS 2015 and CSTS 2020 certifications required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
