Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional nutritional support within assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation, food service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. This role is vital in ensuring residents and patients receive nutritious, well-presented meals in a clean and safe environment. Prior experience in food handling, kitchen operations, or customer service is highly valued.

Responsibilities

- Assist with meal preparation and food service for residents or patients, ensuring timely delivery of nutritious meals.
- Follow proper food handling and safety protocols to maintain sanitation standards.
- Support kitchen staff with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of food preparation areas.
- Serve meals to residents or patients with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Help with inventory management by receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to dietary guidelines and individual dietary restrictions.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, kitchens, and equipment in compliance with health regulations.
- Support team members in meal setup, portioning, and presentation to enhance resident satisfaction.

Skills





- Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Strong understanding of sanitation practices related to food handling and kitchen cleanliness.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact compassionately with residents or patients.
- Good time management skills to handle meal schedules efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic kitchen experience including serving, meal preparation, and cleaning duties is desirable.
