Responsibilities

- Safely operate a Peterbilt 330 tandem-axle flatbed truck equipped with air brakes.
- Operate a HIAB 140-2 folding boom crane to safely load and unload building materials.
- Deliver materials to residential and commercial construction sites throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.
- Transport and handle a variety of building materials, including:
- Palletized paving stones and landscaping materials
- Porcelain slabs transported on A-frames
- composite decking up to 16 ft long
- Artificial Turf, Fencing and other construction materials
- Safely use pallet forks, lifting slings, spreader beams, straps, chains, and other rigging equipment as required.
- Secure all loads properly before transportation.
- Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle inspection records. Inspect the truck, crane, hydraulic system, tires, air brake system, and load-securing equipment before operation.
- Communicate with customers, contractors, and site supervisors regarding delivery and unloading locations.
- Maintain a professional and safety-focused attitude while representing the company.
- Assist with basic loading, unloading, and yard duties when required.

Qualifications

Required:

- Valid BC Class 3 driver's licence or higher.
- Valid Air Brake Endorsement.




- Valid crane operator certification applicable to operating a truck-mounted folding boom crane in British Columbia.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial truck driving experience.
- Previous experience operating a HIAB, Palfinger, Fassi, or similar folding boom crane.
- Experience driving flatbed trucks and securing construction-material loads.
- Comfortable driving and delivering in residential neighbourhoods and active construction sites.
- Good understanding of load securement and secure rigging practices.
- Able to perform physical duties associated with deliveries and material handling.
- Basic English communication skills sufficient to communicate with customers and site personnel and understand delivery documents.
- Good driving record and ability to provide a current Driver's Abstract upon request.

Preferred:

- 2–3+ years of flatbed or building-material delivery experience.
- Experience delivering paving stones, slabs, decking, fencing, lumber, or similar construction materials.
- Experience using pallet forks, web slings, spreader beams, and other lifting attachments.
- Familiarity with Vancouver and Lower Mainland construction sites and delivery routes.
- Mandarin is an asset but are not required.

Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour
