Position Overview

We are seeking experienced and dependable On-Call Catering Chefs to support a variety of catered events, including corporate functions, weddings, private events, banquets, and special occasions. This is an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals looking for adaptable, event-based work.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in fast-paced kitchen environments, can adapt quickly to different menus and kitchen setups, and takes pride in preparing high-quality food while maintaining excellent food safety and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, portioning, seasoning, cooking, plating, and garnishing.
- Prepare a variety of menu items for banquets, buffets, plated dinners, receptions, and other catered events if needed.
- Ensure food is prepared and served on schedule and meets quality and presentation standards.
- Assist with event setup, food stations, buffet preparation, and breakdown as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized,



and sanitary workstation throughout the shift.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, temperature control, and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with kitchen cleanup and equipment breakdown at the end of events.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

- Catering, banquet, hotel, restaurant, or high-volume food service experience is an asset.
- Strong food preparation and cooking skills.
- Ability to follow recipes, menus, portion standards, and chef instructions.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.
- Dependable, professional, and punctual.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$25.00 per hour

Experience:

- Culinary: 1 year (preferred)
- cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
