Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical or Electrical Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical and Electriocal designs, schematics, and plans for various projects involving plumbing, HVAC, boilers, and other mechanical systems. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical knowledge and the ability to translate concepts into precise technical drawings. The Designer will collaborate with engineers, technicians, and construction teams to develop innovative solutions that meet safety and efficiency standards.

Responsibilities

- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (OBC) and National Building Code (NBC), with the ability to effectively navigate, interpret, and apply applicable code requirements.
- Develop detailed Mechanical / Electrical designs and schematics for plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical components, Fire Alarm, Emergency lighting.
- Create accurate technical drawings using CAD software to support manufacturing and construction processes.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.




- Review and modify existing designs based on feedback and testing results.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues during installation or maintenance phases.
- Ensure all designs adhere to safety standards, building codes, and industry best practices.
- Participate in project planning meetings to provide technical input on design feasibility and improvements for both Mechanical and Electrical

Skills

- Strong knowledge of mechanical/Electrical systems
- Proficiency in reading and creating schematics and technical drawings using CAD software.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
